Beginning June 06, 2016, culvert replacement activities will begin on CR 88. The work on CR 88 will involve culvert replacements at 10 locations located between mile marker 2.412 thru 7.500. Unfortunately, these culvert replacements will require daily closures of the road. The road will be closed daily, M-F, 7:00 am -5:00 pm Monday June 06, 2016 thru Friday June 17, 2016. During night and weekend hours, there will be at least one lane open to thru traffic. We ask that you please use extra caution while driving through the Work Zone.
Please be advised that this closure is necessary for the protection of the traveling public as well as for the safety of the workers present. If possible, we recommend you use an alternate route.
Thank you for your cooperation while we continue to improve the Teller County road system.
Bryan Kincaid, Teller County DOT
Dont miss it on May 18th at 5 pm.

Victor’s Inclusion into the Pikes Peak Enterprise Zone Benefits Local Businesses
Make sure to let your tax accountant know that Victor is now included in the Pikes Peak Enterprise Zone!!! If you have Colorado tax liabilities, this program may get you tax credits for your business investments.
Businesses located within Victor’s city limits are eligible to receive tax credits for equipment purchases, commercial vehicle purchases, job training expenses, new employees, health insurance, vacant building rehabilitation and more. Additional information on these tax incentives can be found at: http://www.advancecolorado.com/funding-incentives/incentives/enterprise-zone-tax-credits.
To be eligible for these tax credits, businesses MUST pre-certify by visiting: http://www.advancecolorado.com/funding-incentives/incentives/enterprise-zone-tax-credits/apply-enterprise-zone-tax-credits. Once certified by the State, you can make your purchases or invest in your building.
Pre-certification is easy and if you don’t end up investing in costs that qualify, you simply do not claim the tax credits. Contact Becky or Deb at City Hall for more information.
Please come to City Hall if you lost your fit bit on 3rd Street in the past few months. Come see Claire to identify!
Please be advised that the City Council workshop and meeting scheduled for this Thursday, February 25, have been cancelled.
Thanks to all who attended this morning’s City’s Q&A session at the Fortune Club. The Sheriff answered questions regarding deputy coverage and rotation of officers as well as department complaints. The Mayor was able to address snow removal, bump outs and other citizen questions and concerns. It was decided the conversation was good enough to warrant a quarterly coffee. We will plan the next for the last Wednesday in April, the 27th. We appreciate hearing directly from our citizens so we can answer your questions, review the way we do our jobs or address the rumors directly. The City has revived the newsletter and is determining whether to continue it in paper form. Copies are available at the Claim Jumper and online at www.cityofvictor.com/newsletters.html.
